Yesterday, today,
tomorrow
From our very young to the elderly – every day, through medical research we discover more to help us nurture, care, protect, and improve our health and human life.
In 2011 the Hawke’s Bay Medical Research Foundation celebrated 50 years, and to mark this significant milestone we have launched a Golden Jubilee Fund. For five decades the Foundation has enabled many of those working in our local health sector to undertake research aimed at helping improve the health of Hawke’s Bay’s community.
Through the vision of our forebears and the ongoing generosity of members and supporters, the Foundation has invested $2.5 million in an outstanding and extensive portfolio of research.
Many of these projects have contributed to significant findings, which have gone on to form recommendations that have been adopted nationally and internationally.
Today we celebrate these achievements and recognise the valuable role the Foundation plays as an independent research group focused on improving the health of the region.
By reflecting on the past 50 years and the discoveries made, we can look ahead to tomorrow knowing there is so much more to come. In supporting the Foundation you are helping sustain and continue our very unique and important role for generations to follow.
